Air Conditioning, aka Fans

I missed air conditioning when I first arrived in Mexico.  It was a quick fact to realize that it was unnecessary expense in their eyes.  And within a few nights, a breezy room and a fan or two (or in this case, 3) was more than comfortable.  This was pretty standard for the look of a room, backpacks, clothes, and personal items moderately organized around your bed.  There is a lot of trust placed in the backpacking community, and I was quick to realize that the “don’t mess with my stuff and I won’t mess with yours” motto made leaving my important personal belongings behind in the room much more comfortable.  After all, everyone is trying to get  by on a tight dollar, and out to see the sights and enjoy themselves.
