Air Force Academy Organ
Wow, what a feat of architecture this building was. After setting up to take a few shots downstairs, I tried to find a way up to the organ. Unfortunately this area was roped off, not being for public access. Not being deterred, I began speaking with the guide in the front room, and asked about being taken upstairs. Although not generally open to the public, he took us upstairs and began giving a little history on the organ and the structure itself. You can see a very small number of the organ’s pipes in this photo, but it contains a massive 4,334 total pipes! The colors of the stained glass and architecture walls make this instrument shine in the late afternoon sun.
