A Dolphin’s Sunset Pose
The first night of sailing, moored off on of the Whitsunday’s vast number of islands, the group settled in for the evening, unpacking their bunk areas, enjoying an adult beverage or two, and taking in the fading light. As we watched the sun slowly setting below the horizon, a dolphin began excitedly playing near the boat, with the enthusiasm to even throw a backflip in for us. Several of us rather fruitlessly attempted to catch an action shot mid-jump, and much to my surprise, just as he began to head off into the sunset, came up for one last jump, perfectly in front of my lens.
