A Gate of Many Colors

Favorite thing about Mexico: (besides the food, and culture, and landscape, and lots of other things) all of the colors.  From the most everyday thing to the architecture and lifestyle, I think that color has such a strong influence on the people.  One clear and hot summer afternoon walking around Cancun, snapping away and I’m sure looking very much like a tourist, this gate obviously caught my eye.  One other thing that you can see in the photo, on the right side, above the first level wall, are pieces of glass mortared to the top of the wall.  I think it was both an aesthetic and safety type addition, but I saw it everywhere.
