Wide Open Spaces

I have a particular affection towards older looking photos.  I like them even more when I get to combine HDR with that look.  Side note, I think the 1970’s looked like a cool time to be around.

The San Francisco Peaks and Mount Elden rise sharply out of the open and flat plains of north central Arizona.  Formed from volcanic activity, what is left is the eroded remains of a stratovolcano.  The highest point in Arizona resides here, Humphrey’s Peak, at 3,851m.  Near the bottom left of that massive outcropping in this relatively flat land, the awesome town of Flagstaff takes it’s claim, with a great urban outdoorsy community.
