Burning Sunset thru the Trees

Now I’m generally a more “realistic” type photo person.  I like bringing out the feeling of being within a scene and the emotions therein.  But, occasionally I trend away from that style, and something new and creative happens, which generally turns out pretty well I think.

I just about always know what time the sun is going to hit the horizon throughout the year.  It’s an important time to keep track of when you enjoy sunset pictures, and HDR and sunset goes together like angel food cake and strawberries (birthday dessert of choice for me every year).  The textures that came out in this process were not added in later, somehow due to the contrast in the scene, and shooting directly into the sun at a significant zoom, they appeared during my development process.  I liked the way they looked so in the photo they stayed.
