I’m not sure exactly what about this scene initially got my attention. The colors weren’t great, the haze made things a bit blurry, but when I looked at it I just felt something pulling my attention. The purple colors from the distant sunset became more pronounced as the sun cast it’s red on the horizon, and I came up with this shot, the light purple accenting the open ground, as a tree line ends in the field.
Side note, I had a nice shout out over on Jason Hines’ website The Perfect Sunset. Check it out if you like, he’s into HDR as well and has some great shots from the southeast and his other travels.
