Technical Details

So I haven’t really figured out how many people are worried about/interested in the technical details of the shots that I post up here, or if it’s more of just wanting to enjoy the moment.  I have, though, been getting asked a lot more frequently about how I do these type of photos, and I want to be able to direct people to a good source.  Not all of my shots are set up in the exact same way, but there is a fair amount of repition, and I think that I’ll begin working on a little “how to” basics of HDR.

So as you can see, the timing was a little different from when I stepped back and snapped the photos of the camera and when the actual picture here was taken.  It’s pretty amazing to see how much a scene can change in the fleeting minutes as the sun makes it’s decent.  I’m sure that I’ll do another photo from closer to when the photos above were taken, because all the clouds were moving in and soon the sun peaked out between them and the tree line creating some great colors.
