Memphis Reflections on the Mississippi

Climbing down the banks of the Mississippi sounds easier than it was in this spot.  Darkness fell way faster than I expected, and I was walking up to the banks of the river to actually shoot a different spot, but since the sun had already dipped too low below the horizon, I started looking to new spots.  The ‘bank’ of the river here was really more of a steep slope of large rocks, some of which are less stable than they look!  I hit one in stride and it rocked a little, and my heart jumped a bit as I realized that if I went into the drink with all my stuff, I would be more worried about my stuff than about getting out of the water safely.  I ended up getting this shot, though, that was worth the teetering perch, showing the speeding river below an iconic bridge of Memphis.
