I came up with a new saying the other day. Not sure if it’s really all that applicable to most situations, but it works for me. When the world leaves you without a tripod, find something else to rest your camera on.

I read a neat quote the other day. Maybe it reminded me of me.
I am not that interested in photographing reality; for me, it’s about creating a fantasy. ~ Jez Smith
I think overall that works pretty well. I don’t think that he means that he wants things to look unreal, just that creating the reality that he envisions is something a little more fantastic, kind of like myself. There is a difference between what’s real and what we really see. It’s the romantic disconnect between our eyes and our brains. At the end of the day, the only thing we have is our interpretations and feelings of what we experienced.
