New Years Resolutions

1) Write more: In a journal, on the website, other social sites.  I want to write more.

2) Quality, not quantity:  In my photography, making sure that every shot is the best it can be. (this may mean a few less posts per month, but I’ll work on it)

The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot. ~ Michael Althsuler

Along the S Curve

This little wavy path of white rocks is what drew me to this shot.  Then there was that neat white tree over there on the left side.  They seemed to go together, like the path eventually wound around to the tree.  The fleeting light of the late afternoon splashed colors on the clouds, leaving a mix of golden yellows and aqua blues mingling with one another in the sky.  As the winter solstice was fast approaching, the sun was setting earlier than ever, and leaving less time in the day for exploring.  The neat thing about winter in Door County, though, is that tourism drops to nearly nill, and you can be alone all day long in the many state and local parks, which is great for those of us who want to escape a bit to the natural life.
