Well I’ve been experimenting again, and playing with all sorts of different end results. This look is sort of old fashioned, but it’s still an HDR, so it has a different sort of feel to it. Here is a staple of the University of Alabama campus, Denny Chimes.
University of Alabama
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to see many campuses around the US. One of my favorites has to be where I currently reside, the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Many photos that have made the blog have come from the surrounding area, but these two are both on campus. The campus has a continual theme, and each building has it’s own aura of history. One building dates back to the civil war, actually it’s the only building that survived the Union Army’s invasion and burning of the town.
This photo was taken of the John T. Oliver – Barnard Academic House, built in 1889. It was early spring of 2010, and my family and I were taking a walk, when the sun began to set on the campus.
After a solid defeat over Georgia State this year, Bryant-Denny stood tall on this crisp fall night.
Hey, I just realized that y’all are getting a two-fer photo of the day today. Guess you’re just lucky!
