Working with my good friend Philippe on a baby series portraits has been keeping me busy the last few times I’ve been able to sit down and edit photos, and I’m really excited about how well it turned out. The first photo is is our planning stage, laying out the photo order on the computer. The next is the finished product up on wall, and finally the father’s favorite.
I was fortunate to have a great little subject last weekend to take some fun photos with. Meet Drew, a friend’s little boy. I really didn’t need to accent the blues in his eyes, their color came out like that because I was using the flash. This was the first real ‘baby photo shoot’ I’ve done. Let me tell you, they move around a lot. Squirmy they are indeed.
Portraits – Flip
I was informed by a certain someone that I had missed out on a quality picture when doing my ‘Portraits of Friends’ series a few months back. So here I am to rectify the situation, with a pretty standard shot of my friend, Flip. Hope you like it.
If you missed the earlier portraits, here is Rich, Dave, Maggie, Thor, Mom, and Annie.
I’ve been trying some new techniques for portraits. Here’s the latest, from my friend Lauren.
TWIR – Man with a Cigarette
I think I’ll continue to sprinkle in these “The World is Round” photos if that’s okay with y’all. One great thing about traveling, is being outside your comfort zone. I think I am way more open to experiences and people and really anything. I love hearing people’s stories, because at the end of the day all that you are your stories. I think that’s a quote from somewhere.
Find yourself a cup of tea; the teapot is behind you. Now tell me about hundreds of things. – Saki
Another site to check out if you enjoy some photography reading and great New England shots is my friend Shannon at Seeing Spots Photography
. She has a lot of insight in all things photography related.
Where to Willie
Well it’s happening as we speak. The transition from www.wheretowillie.blogspot.com is coming! Depending on how you made it here, the new links are likely already www.wheretowillie.com. I think this is going to be a fun new step up from the blog to a full fledged site, and hope that I still capture everyone’s likes and rid a few dislikes.
TWIR – Staring to the Sea
So I think I was a little vague when I talked about this yesterday. My thought on this theme is to be square shaped photos, with a very round and prominent vignette to focus the viewer on one round area. I think it’s cool, and I hope you all like it as well.
