Days out in the mountains aren’t solely about reaching the summit, they are about pushing ourselves, about the partnership, about the struggle. This day we made the ridge line above our route, but after evaluating what we thought would be a solo-able ridge to the summit, decided to turn back to avoid a likely ski descent in the dark. While we didn’t summit, overall it was a great day in the alpine, one we’ll certainly need to attempt again.

When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too. – The Alchemist

Anyone for a little walk up the hill? Shot for @backcountry deep in the Unitas. It was a humbling opportunity to meet these two amazing humans and watch them excel in their element, both the mountains and their pursuit of life. —
In the process now of testing out the new line of @backcountry Goretex, I am definitely excited for this year’s ski season. Use code WILL15 for 15% off your first order.

Life is this funny combination of what we do with the time we have, who we choose to spend our time with, and the places that draw our imagination. It’s a constant flux, a shifting point on the map that we’re guiding ourselves towards. Always attempt to enjoy the journey, be kind to one another, and be kind to ourselves. ~originally shared via Instagram

One day our bodies will begin to fail. We live these days as though they will last forever. While some moments will inevitably feel like they have been squandered, wasted in the mundane, our lives are lived minute to minute, day to day, the present moment is all we really ever have. ~originally shared via Instagram

Baja // December 2018. This ole gal has taken me more places than I can recall, has been home for over four years, continues to put me in my place from time to time, then pulls through every time. I had just pulled two vans out of the deep sand, then we set up camp near the ocean. There’s some exciting things in the works for Ruby, this adventure isn’t slowing down. ~originally shared via Instagram

“I wanted to know who I was when I was just being me, so I wanted to do something completely useless. The irony is, I would say, in terms of changing the world for the better, it’s the most useful thing I do because it brings me to such a place of joy, and that’s infectious.” – Mikaya Heart ~originally shared via Instagram
